The nursing department is responsible for the personal care of each resident of Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre. This includes providing treatment and medication as prescribed by the residents physician and assistance in the activities of daily living. The department is comprised of registered nurses and nursing aides.
The modest size of our institution allows for good interaction between the residents and their care givers. We believe in the concept of resident centered care. This includes planning with the residents and their family for the best restorative and supportive care. This also lends to the feeling that this is a home rather than an institution.
The nurses and nursing aides are supported in their work by the services of a physiotherapist. The well trained and congenial staff of the nursing department are dedicated to making residents feel safe and comfortable at Sunnyside.
