  Sunnyside has been renovating for the past six months and I really want to thank everyone for their patience, positive attitude, hard work and encouragement during this time.  We are nearing the end of the renovation process and would love to have you come by and let us show you our changes. 

  The key word from the start of our renovations has been the word “Home”.  The changes made are intended to give Sunnyside a more home like feeling for our residents, families, visitors and staff.

The front lobby has been opened up which allowed us to add a large window and a double sided fireplace.  The lobby now gives our residents a “living room” feeling and is a great place to visit or to wait for a family visit.  The ceiling tiles, curtains and stucco ceilings are designed to reduce noise levels.  The colors used were chosen to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere.

  The renovation work started in November and will be largely complete by the end of May.  The total cost will be $1,100,000.  The work has been well received by all.

  There were more renovations that we could have done, however we needed to stay within the funds we had available.  We budget about $25,000 per year for smaller items that need upgrading.
