A few words from our Director of Spiritual Care:

Whether it's reading a passage of Scripture, holding a hand, helping someone to their room, or singing a silly song - Spiritual Care is the name of my game. My ultimate goal is that each person I meet will be drawn closer to God through His love in me. I am here to give support, comfort, and guidance to our residents, their families, and to staff. I spend a large portion of my time talking with residents. The transition into a long-term health care facility is not often easy, and the transition beyond this life can be a most difficult journey, particularly for the loved ones who live on. I am here to support people through these processes.

I've received three years of formal training at Bethany Bible College in Hepburn, SK. I based my studies in pastoral care, majoring in Biblical study along with Psychology and Sociology as well as music and drama, and completed a Bachelor of Christian Ministry degree. Experience has provided a strong background of informal education; while I was growing up I joined my dad (a pastor) in visiting people in Nursing Homes and in the community.

I am striving to continually improve the service that we provide to residents and their families. With this in mind, I plan to implement regular memorial services, volunteer programs with resident visitation, and association with neighborhood schools that will benefit the students and give them interaction with the residents.

I recognize that the move into a long-term care facility is not easy for residents or for their families. That is why I work hard to make life easier and brighter for all those involved.
